Delivery, Right of Withdrawal & Returns

On this page you will find everything important about delivery, the right of withdrawal and returns for purchases from Plan B Design. The information applies to consumers with a delivery address in Germany.

The essentials in brief

How a purchase works

Our pieces of furniture are one-of-a-kind pieces. For that reason there is no shopping basket on this website. You send us a non-binding enquiry using the “Contact us about this piece of furniture” button. We reply by email with an offer that includes the price, delivery time and method of payment. The purchase contract is only concluded once you accept this offer by email and we confirm the purchase. Until then you are not bound to anything.

Delivery to Germany

Delivery within Germany is free of charge. Dispatch is from our workshop in Stockholm by furniture freight carrier. The carrier will agree a delivery date with you. We will tell you the expected delivery time with the offer; it depends on whether the piece is immediately available or is still being restored.

Please check the packaging for visible damage on handover and have the driver note it on the delivery note. If a piece of furniture has been damaged in transit, please contact us by email with photos as soon as possible. Your statutory rights remain unaffected, but prompt notification makes dealing with the carrier considerably easier.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods.

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below for this purpose, but it is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the notification of your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of additional costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we receive the notification of your withdrawal from this contract. For this reimbursement we shall use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no event will you be charged any fees because of this reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have supplied evidence that you have sent the goods back, whichever is the earlier.

You must send back or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which you notify us of your withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.

You bear the direct costs of returning the goods. As these are items of furniture that, by their nature, cannot normally be returned by post, the return is made by freight carrier. The costs are estimated at a maximum of approximately EUR 300.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods if this diminished value results from handling of the goods that is not necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for whose production an individual selection or determination by the consumer is decisive, or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer (Section 312g(2) no. 1 BGB). In our case this concerns pieces of furniture that are redesigned at your request in a particular colour, with particular fittings or to your measurements. We will tell you expressly in the offer whether a piece of furniture falls under this exception.

Returns in practice

1. Within 14 days of receipt, write to us by email at info@planbdesign.se with the subject “Withdrawal” and the name of the piece of furniture. You can copy the model withdrawal form below.
2. We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal by email and arrange collection with you. If you wish, we will instruct the freight carrier for you; we will then invoice you for the actual costs or set them off against the refund.
3. Please pack the piece of furniture securely for transport, ideally in the original packaging.
4. Once the goods have reached us, we will refund the purchase price including the original delivery costs within 14 days by the same method of payment.

Warranty

The statutory rights in respect of defects apply. Our pieces of furniture are restored or redesigned vintage and antique furniture. Signs of use that belong to the character of an old piece of furniture and are visible in the product description or in the photos do not constitute a defect. Should a piece of furniture nevertheless not correspond to its description, please get in touch with us and we will find a solution.
